Terms of use

Version of [effective date]

Draft pending legal review. Text in square brackets will be completed before publication.

1. Acceptance

These terms govern the use of bustem.rip: the website, the staff panel and the Windows client. By downloading or running the client you accept these terms. The client also shows you a consent screen and does nothing until you type I AGREE. If you do not agree, do not run the client.

2. Who provides the service

The service is provided by [legal entity], located at [address]. You can write to us at [contact email].

3. What bustem.rip is

A tool that lets staff of a Minecraft server run a structured screenshare. Staff creates a session in the panel, the player runs the client and enters a code, and the client sends what it observes on the player's computer to the panel.

4. What the client reads

Only the following, and only after you accept the consent screen:

It sends this as technical text, exactly as observed, over an encrypted connection (TLS) and only to the bustem.rip server configured in the client.

5. What the client does not read or do

If the client ever reads anything else, the consent screen and these terms will be updated in the same release.

6. How the session code works

7. Who sees the results

The results are shown in real time to the staff who started the session, through the panel. When staff closes the session, it is stored as the report. bustem.rip does not publish the results.

8. Results describe, they do not judge

Each result describes what the client observed. It is not a conclusion about the person. Decisions taken based on a session, such as a ban, are the responsibility of the server and its staff, not of bustem.rip.

9. Staff obligations

10. Retention

Reports are kept for [report retention period]. Details are in the privacy policy.

11. Warranties and liability

The service is provided as is. [limitation of liability, pending legal review]

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, dated at the top.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by [governing law and jurisdiction].
